Treasures by Hand offers Introductory, Beginner and Intermediate classes at Eva's home studio. Classes are held beginning in the fall (late September/early October) until late spring (May/June).

Introductory Classes

These classes are designed for those who are very new to decorative painting. Come and try it out without investing anything but your time and the course fee. All brushes, paints, surfaces and sundries are supplied.

On completion of the Intro Session students can continue in the Beginner classes held weekly.

3 Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm or 2 Saturdays from 9:30am-2:30pm (bring your lunch).

Instruction will be given in backgrounds and proper preparation of surfaces. You will learn proper loading techniques, paint consistencies and how to take care of your greatest asset - YOUR BRUSH.

Basic Brush Strokes using round, flat and liner brushes will give you the foundation on which to build leaves and petals for many floral projects.

Basic double loading techniques are included and applied to the completed project.

Beginner Classes

These sessions reinforce the lessons begun in the Introductory sessions and the techniques are applied to both class projects and projects of the students' choice. A variety of background techniques are introduced as well as Highlight and Shading.

Classes are held on an ongoing weekly basis — Wednesday or Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm.

Intermediate Classes

Designed for those students who have several years' painting experience, these classes introduce and reinforce more complicated patterns and techniques such as Bauernmaulerai, Rosemaling and multi-loading.
